- Edmarc: https://edmarc.org/about/ was the very first pediatric hospice program in the country designed for children 45 years ago. The organization was built on a charity model because children do not fit into the adult reimbursement model. Nurses provide medical care under the direction of physicians to children with life-threatening illnesses in their homes. The Edmarc staff work with inpatient hospital staff to get involved early in the diagnosis to improve the chances a child can survive their battle. We have traditionally served families from Yorktown to the North Carolina line, but we have recently opened an office in Williamsburg to serve Williamsburg, Gloucester, Mathews and the surrounding counties.

The facility will stand out among the nation's top pediatric mental health hospitals for its thoughtful patient and family-centered design, evidence-based treatments, academic training program, and clinical research to guide innovation.
- Boys & Girls Club of America: https://www.bgcseva.org/our-vision As the leading nonprofit out-of-school-time provider in Southeast Virginia and throughout the United States, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia (BGCSEVA) is part of a national movement of Boys & Girls Clubs. Our Clubs follow a research-based Formula for Impact which steers our youth development programming. We take a holistic approach to youth development that encourages positive habits, self-esteem, and helps develop independence and interpersonal skills. BGCSEVA offers boys and girls in grades K-12 across Hampton Roads, a safe place to learn and grow through on-going relationships with caring trained professionals, while providing life-enhancing programs and character development experiences that foster hope and opportunity. Our Clubs are positioned where kids need us the most. Programs are offered at a minimal cost to families and no child is turned away due to inability to pay. We focus on developing our Club members' skill sets in order to prepare them for the many pivotal moments throughout their lives and help build their futures. Empowering young people and workforce readiness are our paramount objectives. Our Clubs are closing the opportunity and job readiness gap by preparing youth for success in their first job and helping them develop a plan to pursue the career of their dreams.
