In 2022, coming out of two years of Covid related issues, a group of Hampton Road business executives discussed how they could further help the local community that has been the bedrock of support to their respective businesses. In 2022, coming out of two years of Covid related issues, a group of Hampton Road business executives discussed how they could further help the local community that has been the bedrock of support to their respective businesses. A simple discussion among friends and Voilà -- the Chairman’s Cup was born! The Chairman’s Cup is an intercompany golf championship with each participating company fielding one or more teams from their company’s senior management and leadership ranks.
We are well on our way to making this championship event a significant, social and can-not-miss sporting event benefiting our Hampton Roads community.

Hampton Roads is incredibly unique in that the business leaders are, without exception, very involved with the community in a multitude of ways from direct support to serving on Civic Boards and other activities.
Each year, at its Opening Ceremony, The Chairman’s Cup will celebrate the generous spirit of our business leaders by honoring leaders in the Legends category and retiring Captains of the Hampton Roads business community for their significant contributions in our region.
Our 2023 honorees were Mrs. Joan P. Brock, Mr. Vince Mastracco, Jr. and Mr. Tommy Rueger in the Legends category and Mr. Chris Xystros, Mr. James Dahling and Mr. William Downey as retiring Captains of Industry.

The Chairman’s Cup is a philanthropic conduit by which funds can be raised to support charities/non-profits in Hampton Roads. The net proceeds from the 2022 Chairman Cup were paid to the Hampton Road Community Foundation (HRCF) and placed into a Donor Designation Endowment Fund under The Chairman’s Cup. These funds will be awarded to dif

These funds will be awarded to different deserving charities throughout our community each year.
In 2023 the funds were given to Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD) specifically for the Children’s Mental Health Program, Edmarc and the Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Virginia.
